The hotel bathtub refinishing process
First, we mask off the work area, remove all hardware, remove the existing finish, clean surfaces with a deep-cleaning solution, repair the tub, and sand surfaces, then apply a bonding agent and primer to the surface. A top coat is applied after the primer has been applied and then dried. All masking tape and paper are removed once the finish has dried. Finally, an optional non-slip solution can be applied to the bottom of the bathtub. The tubs are ready for use after 24 hours once the finish has dried and set.
The refinishing process will allow the tub to resist wear and tear for many years to come.
Adding a custom colors
If you want, we can apply a custom color to the bathtub or shower as we do the refinishing work. All you have to do is choose a color from the Sherwin-Williams color deck, and give us the color number and name of your desired color. Then let us know in advance so that we can apply the custom color when we do the refinishing work. The Process
Our shower refinishing services start out similarly to the bathtub refinishing process. First, the work area is masked off and chemically cleaned with a deep cleaning solution, and any old coating is removed from shower pans. All necessary repairs are made to shower pans and/or tiled surfaces. Before we apply the finish, a bonding agent is applied, and the surface is then primed. We will finish the job by adding a top coat to the shower pan’s surface. NuFinishPro can also refinish the shower’s tiles if needed. The entire process will take about 3 to 5 hours to complete, then it will take about 24 to 48 hours for the entire finish to dry and cure before the bathroom is ready for use.
The masking tape and paper that have been applied are removed once the work is done. The shower doors can be removed before any work is done, and reinstalled later after the work is done. Our refinishers can apply a non-slip coating to the floor of the shower pan to improve the safety of the shower.
