Enhance your text ads with an image extension.
Image extension allows advertisers to have relevant images appearing alongside the text ads displayed in the Google searches. Any images used must be related to the ad information and meet Google’s advertising guidelines.

Setting up an image extension
When you set up an image extension, you will first have to navigate to an existing ad campaign and click on the ads & extensions link, a new set of links will appear, click on extensions to view the extensions to see if any have been set up. There is a round blue plus button towards the top of the page, click on that button to view a drop-down menu.
Pick the correct extension
1.You need to pick the ad campaign to assign the image extension.


Add an image
2. Upload an image to the image extension by either uploading a image from your computer. You can picking an image that you have already used as a image extension. Click on save to add the image to the image extension.

3. You will see the image extension appear in the Image extension section of the extensions page. Choose the image that you want to use in the image extension, you will need to pick a square and rectangular image for the image extension, and click save.

Apply your changes
4. A preview of the chosen image will appear in the ad manager, and save your changes.

5. When you return to the Ad & Extensions menu, the image extension that has been created will appear as well.

6. A disapproved or rejected image extension displays a red circle as indicated in the picture will appear.

7. If your image extension is rejected, you can find out why by moving your mouse arrow over the image to display the popup window with the reason why.
