About SEO Meta Information
Meta Tags
All web pages have meta tags, the ones we have to worry about are Meta titles, Meta Keywords, and Meta Descriptions. so we have to write a correct meta title, description, and keywords for each page, with meta tags, there is a character limit, we will be using a few keywords to create the title, description and include the keywords in the meta keywords tag. There are a few others like Meta Robots and viewport, but don’t worry about them.

Meta Title
The SEO Meta title describes to the visitor what the page’s content is about, the entire title has to fit inside of a 600px wide rectangular box, the meta title use to fix the character limit, but Google has changed this to a rectangle that is 600px wide. When you have a title in Yoast, you need to fill the entire text with as much as possible a title that is too short or too long will be flagged either Amber or Red.

Meta Description
In Yoast SEO, the Meta Description is entered in the SEO Tab, when you write the Meta Description, it has to be related to the Meta Title and the Focus Keyword. The Meta Description has to be a maximum of 155 characters, Yoast will make suggestions on how you can write your meta description. When you have written a meta description to Yoast’s liking, you will get a Green dot.

Focus Keyword
In Yoast SEO, the focus keyword or keyphrase that you want the page’s SEO to be centered around. If you are going to have a page centered around “Auto Repair”, then the focus keyphrase would be “Auto Repair”, the following keyword or referring keywords will be related to the Focus Keywords. Yoast SEO will make suggestions on what keywords to use and how many times they are used, keyword will have a list of suggestions that you need to follow to get a Green Dot, just like in the other parts of Yoast, you don’t need to follow all of the suggestions to get a Green Dot. Once you meet enough of the suggested changes, you will get a Green Dot.
